Terms of Use
This page is maintained by the author and production team behind Hooked on the Wizard of Oz to set expectations for the launch registration and live event. It is app-owner guidance, not independent legal advice or certification.
1. Acceptance of terms
By registering for the launch, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not register or submit your contact information.
2. What registration provides
Registration adds you to the launch list for Hooked on the Wizard of Oz. You will receive launch updates, event reminders, and — if you opt in — SMS messages. Registration is required to receive the Zoom access details for the live launch party on August 16th, 2:00 – 4:00 PM EDT.
3. Communications consent
If you check the email-consent box, you agree to receive launch-related emails. If you provide a phone number and check the SMS-consent box, you agree to receive text messages at that number. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of emails via the unsubscribe link or of SMS by replying STOP.
4. Parody, satire & comedy
Hooked on the Wizard of Oz is a modern retelling of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz presented as parody, satire, and comedy. It is not intended as political rhetoric or commentary. Celebrity appearances, impersonations, and tributes are offered in a celebratory and comedic spirit and do not necessarily reflect the personal views of the performers or production team.
5. Intellectual property
All book content, cover art, promotional images, event recordings, and related materials are owned by or licensed to the author and production team. You may not copy, distribute, or publicly display these materials without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial sharing of official launch links.
6. Event conduct
The live Zoom launch is a family-friendly celebration. Harassment, hate speech, spam, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the event or the registration list. We reserve the right to moderate the event and remove participants who violate these standards.
7. Changes and cancellations
Event times, guest lineup, and platform details are subject to change. We will notify registered participants of any significant changes via email or SMS. We are not liable for technical issues caused by third-party platforms such as Zoom.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The launch registration and event are provided “as is.” We make no warranties about uninterrupted delivery of messages, specific guest availability, or any particular outcome from participating. Your statutory rights are not affected where they cannot be limited.
